England’s final World Cup group match against France is at risk of being cancelled with Typhoon Hagibis due to hit Japan. Scotland v Japan in Yokohoma and the F1 race on Sunday also face being affected by the weather conditions. Given these bizarre circumstances, we thought this would be an ideal time to look back to when crazy weather conditions affected sporting events. We aren’t talking your usual rain stops play at Lords or Wimbledon though, we are looking at the extraordinary times when Mother Nature has caused havoc on sports.
