Leinster booked their place in Bilbao with a home win over Leinster. The home team took the lead 12 minutes in through a dominant carry over the line by Jack Conan. They didn’t let that lead slip for the rest of the game. Leinster went down to 13 men and Toulon scored to go into half time at 14-11 to Leinster.
Leinster opened the scoring in the second-half despite being down in numbers and scored 10 more points to lead 29-11. Toulon scored two in the last 10 minutes to bring them within four points and despite a late break down the wing, Leinster were able to stop them and win the match 29-25.
Bordeaux Begles booked their place in the semi-final with a 38-26 victory over Bath.
They led 24-12 at halftime and Bath opened the second half scoring to bring the game within five points.
Bordeaux turned on the heat and scored the next two tries, converted them and with two minutes to go had sealed the win. Bath scored late but the match finished with Bordeaux winning by 12.
