  • Leo Cullen will aim to win Leinster’s fifth Champions Cup title and their first since 2018.
  • James Lowe misses out on the squad despite his return last weekend.
  • Jordan Larmour features on the bench after being added to the squad list only yesterday.

Leo Cullen has named his Leinster team to take on Bordeaux Begles in the Champions Cup final in Bilbao.

Some difficult decisions needed to be made for the showcase match of European Rugby. He decided to start Clarkson at tighthead, who has been Leinster’s most consistent prop this season.

Cullen opted for Reiko Ioane to play on the wing, and James Lowe has been left out completely. Jordan Larmour has been chosen to be the 23rd man and take up the final place on the bench due to his greater versatility.

There is no place in the team for Sam Prendergast. This is even with Larmour on the bench. Harry Byrne has been backed in the number 10 shirt, and Frawley will deputise on the bench as he prepares for his exit for Connacht.

The back five in the forwards is as expected, and Caelon Doris will captain the side.
